About me
I believe there is a healing quality to genuine curiosity and empathy, and in a person feeling accepted, heard and validated. This is just one reason why I am so passionate about helping and supporting others in their journey through life. Each time someone trusts to share their most personal experiences with me I feel moved and privileged because your experiences define who you are and they matter to me.
My interest and passion for helping others led me to pursue a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Major in Psychology. Upon completing this degree, I moved to Fort McMurray where I had the opportunity to begin my work with children and their families, which then guided me into completing a Bachelor of Education Degree.
After exploring the teaching profession for a number of years, I felt a longing to return to my roots in psychology, and pursued a Master of Counselling Degree with the hopes of becoming a psychologist. While completing this degree I began my work as a school counsellor. I had the honour and privilege of supporting both elementary and high school aged children with their learning, emotional, and relational needs, as well as high school students with exploring their post secondary and career paths. During my time as a school counsellor I completed my Master of Counselling Degree with a Specialization in Counselling Psychology and began my journey working toward to become a psychologist.
Today, I am a Registered Psychologist working exclusively in private practice out of the Wood Buffalo Therapy clinic where I am fortunate to work with individuals, couples, and families, which I am truly enjoying.
